Free On Farm Consultation

Chippewa County offers free on-farm conservation consulting services to assist property owners plan and manage agricultural land. Services include engineering consultation, erosion, and nutrient management.

This service is beneficial to:

-Crop and livestock producers who are considering capital improvements or livestock expansions.

-Crop and livestock producers who have existing erosion or runoff concerns.

-Landowners who are negotiating lease agreements who wish to review soil characteristics and the production capabilities of the farm.

-Landowners who have an interest in enhancing the farm for wildlife, restoring native plant communities, or improving woodlots through selective harvest.

co-ops, crop scouts, agricultural engineering firms, contractors and other service providers. We also work daily with all Federal and State agencies, and local non-profit conservation organizations. If we can’t provide the service, we will refer you to someone who will.
